ZuluSCSI Wide is an advanced high performance SCSI storage emulator with support for 16-bit Wide and Ultra Wide SCSI. Developed by Rabbit Hole Computing, ZuluSCSI Wide is equipped with a standard Half-Pitch 68 pin "HPDB68" SCSI connector. ZuluSCSI wide is a single-ended SCSI device, but can be used with nearly all SCSI controllers that support LVD/SE operation, as the SCSI controller itself will fall back to single-ended mode.
ZuluSCSI Wide supports Ultra Wide synchronous and asynchronous SCSI transfers, with read speeds up to 33 megabytes/second. A sufficiently-fast SD card and SCSI controller with Wide or Ultra Wide SCSI support is required to achieve maximum throughput.
ZuluSCSI is easy to use: Simply place an appropriately named disk image or CD-ROM ISO on your SD card in order to present it for use by your SCSI host system. ZuluSCSI can emulate up to 7 SCSI devices simultaneously at any time, and supports both FAT and ExFAT-formatted SD cards.
Documentation for ZuluSCSI Wide is available here.
New ZuluSCSI Wide features
- Ultra Wide SCSI @ 40MHz
- 68-pin SCSI connector (both internal AND external, includes retention tabs)
- Up to 33.3 megabytes per second read, 15 megabytes per second write.
- SCSI Initiator support in 16-bit Wide mode
- Included four-pin Molex power connector
Board dimensions: 90mm by 100mm. The four M3-sized mounting hole dimensions are identical to those found on the bottom of any 2.5" hard drive, allowing you to use most commodity 2.5" to 3.5" mounting brackets/adapters to mount your ZuluSCSI.
ZuluSCSI Wide board dimensions are identical to that of SCSI2SD V5.1/V5.2/V6.
All mounting solutions designed for SCSI2SD V5.1/V5.2/V6 work just as well with ZuluSCSI Wide.
